Les papelardes

“In the year 2100, as the temperature of the burning world reaches an unbearable new height, Dominique, Karima, Martine, Pascale and Auriane find themselves exasperated by the environment and the deeply rooted capitalist and patriarchal society. Bound by a strong friendship, they reach the radical decision: to abandon their lives and establish themselves in total self-sufficiency, with the intention of aging together in a cave deep beneath the cobblestones of Noisy-le-Sec. In this underground refuge, they form Les Papelardes, an alternative community with its own codes, languages and everyday artefacts. Together, the five friends explore the depths of their commitment.”
