Épatez La Galerie !
Exhibition of projects outside the walls and workshops
24 May — 28 Jun. 2025
La Galerie, centre d’art contemporain d’intérêt national de Noisy-le-Sec, offers a wide range of mediation tools to promote the encounter between sensitive experience and knowledge of the works. Working closely with artists, the art center designs projects with a strong educational dimension, encouraging lively, participatory mediation. These actions enable the public to appropriate artistic approaches in a concrete way, awakening curiosity and a critical spirit. In this way, La Galerie affirms its commitment to accessible art, rooted in exchange and transmission.
“Épatez La Galerie!” is part of the Global Educational Project initiated by the town of Noisy-le-Sec, which implements the town’s educational policy. The exhibition also reflects the city’s commitment to promoting accessibility to artistic and cultural education.
Between June 2024 and April 2025, artists Elsa Abderhamani, Sarah Nefissa Belhadjali, Amine Benattabou, Kim Bradford, Élise Brion, Laura Burucoa, Virginie Capizzi, Pierre Klein and members of the association Formes & fonctions shared their views and worlds with children and adults alike. They devised projects and workshops, in parallel with and echoing the exhibitions then on show at La Galerie: “Le Syndicat des Olympiades” by Jonathas de Andrade and “Métamorphoses de sel” by Lise Thiollier.
Together, they have recounted current events, celebrated everyday life, imagined and given shape to numerous stories and characters, and acted out comedy. In a season of visits and workshops, a whole world was invented. La Galerie’s exhibition rooms are now filling up with the work produced by these collective efforts. Here we (re)discover an ephemeral community – human, animal, fantastic – landscapes, the breath of the wind, songs, legends, rites and games, clothes and finery.

“La nuit, je mens !”
As part of Nuit Blanche 2025, with the support of Métropole du Grand Paris, in collaboration with TRAM, réseau art contemporain Paris / Île-de-France.
Saying “La nuit, je mens!” [“At night, I lie!”] is a declaration of the power of play—a bold affirmation of self, as the darkness and suspended time of night become fertile ground for invention, detours, and wandering.
This season at La Galerie, centre d’art contemporain de Noisy-le-Sec, artists Kim Bradford and Laura Burucoa guided visitors in exploring the center’s exhibitions. Throughout tours and workshops, they collectively invented numerous stories and characters, embracing transformation and metamorphosis. At the heart of the creations born from these workshops—now on display in La Galerie—Kim Bradford and Laura Burucoa will each present a brand-new performance piece, created especially for Nuit Blanche 2025.
